Jonathan brings over 20 years of professional experience managing complex government projects both domestically and internationally. Megan, a Registered Nurse (RN), has more than a decade of experience working across a variety of medical specialties. In 2022, Jonathan and Megan moved to Panama with their two young sons to begin a new chapter in the Los Santos region.
Immediately captivated by the raw natural beauty of Pedasí, Playa Venao, and Cañas, they began exploring business opportunities in the area. What they quickly discovered was a “missing middle” in the real estate market: while luxury homes were increasingly available, there were very few quality, affordable options for newcomers seeking a simpler lifestyle. Smaller, manageable lots for personalized development were also difficult to find.
Inspired by this gap, Jonathan and Megan founded Jon Starks Properties in 2024 with a clear goal—to create thoughtfully designed, high-quality homes and development lots that make it easier for individuals and families from around the world to transition to life in this remarkable region of Panama.
In 2021, Kirk moved to Panama after years of experience in Canada as an entrepreneur, housing contractor, and rail industry professional. Bringing his diverse skill set to Panama, he explored contracting opportunities throughout the region before joining forces with Jonathan and Megan to establish Jon Starks Properties. With his well-honed construction expertise and keen eye for detail, Kirk ensures every project is built to the highest standards of quality, durability, and design.
